I run my own business helping small business owners achieve their dreams. I adore having a new challenge every day, helping people achieve their dreams and the flexibility of being my own boss.

Volunteering has always been an important part of my life. I'm on the board of a small charity and manage their website. We started a free healthcare clinic in Ethiopia. It is vitally important to me to know that we are making a real difference. Most of my career has been in the non-profit sector, especially education.

I went to a math and science magnet high school and both of my parents are engineers, so I can speak nerd fluently. (Just not Elvish or Klingon.) In college, I studied biology and worked on a genetic engineering project for 3 years. Then I went to grad school for psychology.

I enjoy yoga, hiking, museums, and trying new things. I've ridden a camel in the Saharan desert, tasted wine in Tuscany, salsa danced in Mexico, toured castles in Germany, herded cattle in Texas, photographed hippos in South Africa, hiked a volcano in Costa Rica and been dazzled by Rodin sculptures in Paris.

Out of all the scholarships and awards I’ve won, the blue ribbon for my braided dessert bread is still the sweetest.
